CARRIE UNDERWOOD and Mike Fisher were married Saturday (7/10) at the Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation, on Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.
… They released the following statement: “We could not feel more blessed to have found each other and to have shared this day with our friends and family that mean so much to us! -Mike & Carrie Fisher.”
… Carrie wore a Chantilly lace wedding dress designed specially for her by Monique Lhuillier.
… The couple shared classical music and their favorite Bible verses during the ceremony before 250 of their closest friends and family.
… The entire facility was booked at the cost of $268,000 a night for the big event.
… After the wedding, Carrie and Mike retreated to their honeymoon nest in the Ritz-Carlton — a 5,400 square foot Presidential House, an expansive (and expensive) $4,000 per night three-story mansion which includes four master suites, living room, a gourmet kitchen, terrace with access to the recreation room, private pool and a dining room that seat 16.
… The next morning Carrie and Mike were photographed at the Greene County Regional Airport boarding a private, Los Angeles-bound, jet. After touching down in Los Angeles, the newlyweds were expected to board another plane bound for Tahiti.
… Sources say People magazine paid upwards of $2 million dollars for the exclusive rights to the wedding pictures, much of which will go to probably go to charity.
… Carrie and Mike will, for now, will keep homes in Nashville and Peterborough, Ontario, Canada.
