Every girl dreams of a fairytale wedding complete with a dress fit for a princess. In Carrie Underwood’s case, make that two custom dresses fit for a princess. Carrie’s dresses were both designed by designer Monique Lhuillier. “Carrie wanted something grand and magical. She wears evening gowns all the time but this had to be really special,” Lhuillier stated. For Carrie’s trip down the aisle, a one-of-a-kind, drop waist, custom ballgown–complete with a corseted bodice made of Chantilly lace and covered in silk flowers and crystals was designed. Carrie wanted to be able to dance and have fun for the party so Lhuillier created a a strapless, corseted, jeweled-bodice cocktail dress with delicately frayed organza skirt. Carrie also had Lhuillier create four different gown for her eight bridesmaids. Carrie gifted the bridesmaids with an assortment of Swarovski jewelry.
