For two years St. Louisans have been totally impressed with the community efforts of Ram linebacker Chris Draft. He is tireless in his work to improve the community from cleaning up local parks, conducting football clinics, challenging students with academic projects and standing up for important values among the young people in the Metro Area.
Yesterday (12/17), the Rams named Draft as their recipient of the Walter Payton, Man of the Year Award. The Payton award is given to the player that best reflects values that improve the community and rewards his on-field play as well. Each NFL team nominates one player and at the end of the season, one of those players is given the league wide honor as the Walter Payton Man of the Year.
I caught up with Chris yesterday and asked him why he does what he does. His answers will both surprise and inspire you. Check it out in audio section above!
Do Good!
