I must admit, it’s been several years since I casted out a line in hopes of landing a fish…but tonight, I rekindled an old relationship with my omega-3 friends. Actually, I assisted my kids Abbie and Eric on a cubscouts fishing adventure at Suson Park. What a blast! Suson stocks a special lake where they invite groups like the cubscouts to learn how to fish…it’s really a catch and release, but all the kids are guaranteed to catch a few. My kids did great, especially when the switched from using worms to fishing with hotdogs pieces. Eric caught about 5 bluegill and Abbie reeled in 13 fish all told….one of them a very nice sized bass…the big lunker of the night. Sorry pack 596 boys! If you get a chance to spend some summer time relaxing and fishing…do it! Now if I can get that fish smell off of my hands.
