Texting is kinda new to me….I do it very rarely and mainly to my 11 year old daughter. Abbie does the most texting in our household…about 1,000 per month. I saw on cnn today that we are facing a new health epidemic and it deals with texting. TTT it’s called or teen texting tendonitis. Since teens do the most texting in america, some to the tune of over 8,000 per month, their thumbs are subject to TTT. After all, thumbs were not designed to tap out messages on tiny keyboards. The result, back and neck pain and thumb numbness. More and more medical professionals are seeing more and more kids come in with this problem…a problem that will really come back to haunt them in the form of arthritis when they are in their 40′s and 50′s. Docs are prescribing pain medication and also hand exercises to help releave the stress from the thumbs. But the real cure is limited texting. Everything in moderation.
