It’s been a tough season for the Rams and Rams fans, but linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa says ‘the male sheep’ are keeping a positive attitude. Practices are crisp, upbeat and positive.
Tinoisamoa is in his sixth season with the Rams after being drafted out the University of Hawaii. He has had some injury problems in the past, but finally healthy, ‘Hawaii 5-0′ is having another stellar season from his outside linebacker position.
We forget that players are just that…. players! They’re playing football! So, while they’d love to win more games, they’re playing a game they love and are part of a team they’re glad to be on. Pisa told me that he really likes his teammates, is glad to be at practice every day and thinks the team has good coaches.
While talking to Coach Jim Haslett at his Wednesday press conference, the Rams’ head man says players are lucky to stay healthy an entire season and it’s miraculous for a player to last ten years and be even relatively injury free.
Listen to my interview with Pisa Tinoisamoa and to Coach Haslett’s response to how good it’s been to have Pisa healthy for an entire season.
Pisa is one of the guys in that Ram locker room that ‘gets it’ and plays with real passion everyday. As to coach Haslett, I for one, believe he would be a good choice as a head coach for this or some other team. The environment at Rams Park may be too toxic for him to be able to stay, but if they can fix their player acquistion issues, he could be a real good fit. He understands what the players are going through, how to relate to them and what matters in winning football. I wish him the best.
Do Good.
