|Rain Is A Good Thing? Perhaps in moderation, but that was not the case for the Nashville area this weekend as record rainfall and historic flooding claimed lives, destroyed property and upended virtually an entire city. The full extent of the damage won’t be known for some time, but the local Country radio response will be detailed in tonight’s Country Aircheck Weekly (5/3). Many in the Nashville music community have been displaced or had their lives dramatically disrupted, and several inquiries from Country radio nationwide have asked how they can help. For now, the best options seem to be the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee’s Flood Relief, the American Red Cross and – for those close enough to physically pitch in – Hands On Nashville.
