Saturday September 19th, 2009 (7K run/ 1 mile fun walk, parade and Festivities)
The Wentzville Firefighters will be hosting a families fighting cancer benefit on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in the City of Wentzville. This event will include a seven (7) kilometer run, one (1) mile fun walk, parade of pink, and family festival at the Heritage Point Shopping Center in Wentzville.
The day will begin at 11:00 am with a seven (7) kilometer run, certified by USATF and partnered with Fleet Feet of St. Louis. Immediately following the run, our one (1) mile fun walk will begin. This event is family friendly event to show support for the fight against cancer. At 1:30 pm the Parade of Pink will take place. The day will conclude with a special appearance of Dave Graybill and the Pink Heals Tour. Dave is traveling the country, in a pink fire truck, to support woman who have been affected by cancer. REGISTRATION: $25 & INCLUDES PINK DOG TAG AND RACE SHIRT
*All proceeds will be distributed to members of the community whom are nominated and then picked by a pre-determined board of peers who are battling cancer. More info about the nomination process will be at a later date.
