Yeah, I know, you might not think to put Toby Keith and Yves St. Laurent (geez, I don’t even know if I spelled that right!) in the same sentence, but YSL is about to meet his match.
Well, I might be pushing the envelope a bit with that statement, but Toby Keith, who’s already tackled being a successful recording artist, actor, restaurateur and corporate pitchman, has now added Fashion Designer to his never ending list!
This according to theboot.com:
TK Steelman is Keith’s latest venture, a clothing line inspired by the singer’s rugged personal style.
Developed in partnership with Royal Merchandising Group, which produces merchandise for Keith’s restaurants, the line will officially launch with a February 18 event at Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill at Harrah’s Las Vegas. TK Steelman will also be featured prominently at the MAGIC Marketplace convention, the world’s largest fashion trade event, taking place in Las Vegas next month.
Personally approved by Keith himself, the looks are described as part rocker and part biker with a “country sexy” aesthetic. Among the products to be offered will be long-sleeve shirts, t-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, jeans, cowboy hats, baseball caps, bandanas, belts and leather wrist straps.
Keith did make one special request that could make his life a little easier. Since he’s known to remove the sleeves from shirts he owns, he suggested that the line feature more sleeveless shirts.
As far as I’m concerned, Toby’s got style, so good for him for sharing it. I hope he makes it affordable, but I do look forward to seeing what the guys got!
