Golden Globe Nominations have Nashville Connections

The Golden Globes have been announced and there are some country music stars showing up on the list of nominations. The category for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture has two country connections in it: The song that Gwyneth Paltrow performs, Coming Home, from the upcoming film Country Strong, along with Carrie Underwood’s song, There’s A Place for Us, from Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Those two songs with country connections are up against one song from the animated movie Tangled and two from the movie Burlesque. Nicole Kidman was nominated for best dramatic actress for her role in the film Rabbit Hole. To see how Nashville fairs at the Golden Globe Awards tune in on January 16 when the show airs live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
