TEXAS LAWMAKERS WANT COLLEGE KIDS PACKING HEAT

Over half the members of the Texas House have signed onto a measure requiring that universities allow students and faculty to carry concealed weapons on campus. It’s already legal to do this in Utah, and colleges in Colorado all have the option of allowing concealed weapon permit holders to flex their Second Amendment rights. State Senator Jeff Wentworth says it’s strictly a matter of self-defense. I don’t ever want to see repeated on a Texas college campus what happened at Virginia Tech, where some deranged, suicidal madman goes into a building and is able to pick off totally defenseless kids like sitting ducks.”
