I am the youngest of four. I have two older brothers and an older sister. I was always a bit jealous of my older sister, as normal for sibling rivalry and all. But I always felt that she and my dad had a special bond. I’m not sure if it was because she was the first girl, or they just have similar personalitites but I’ll never forget when my sister got to go to a Father-Daughter Dance at her school. I always wanted to do that, but by the time I was old enough, the school got rid of the whole “Father-Daughter” dance thing, (I never knew exactly why!). To this day, I wished I had been given that one special night with my dad like my sister did! Now that we’re older, my sister is my best friend. (You probably get tired of me talking about her, but she’s AMAZING!). And I’m glad that at least ONE of us had that special day with dad.
It’s not too late, however, for you, if you are a dad with a daughter (or daughters!) or a mom, who wants to get a night free while the significant other takes out their little girl for a special treat here’s something cool!
A Daddy-Daughter Valentine Dance is happening Friday, February 3rd, for Dads, grandpas or guardians of their favorite little girl age 3 to 10 is happening at Kirkwood Community Center, 111 S. Geyer Road. It’s $20 per Kirkwood Adult and Daughter ($7 for each additional daughter) and $25 for non-resident adult and one daughter ($9 for additional child).
Make some LASTING memories for your daughter (and dad, grandpa or guardian too!).
