I’VE GOT BBQ ON THE BRAIN!!!

WHAT IT IS ABOUT ST. LOUIS STYLE BARBECUE??? KINGSFORD CHARCOAL NAME ST. LOUIS “AMERICA’S TOP GRILLING CITY” IN 2006!!! NOT A BAD TITLE TO HAVE, RIGHT!?!? TAKE THAT KANSAS CITY!!! I AM JUST FULL OF PRIDE FOR STL BBQ… AND FULL OF STL BBQ AFTER A SUMMER FULL OF COOK OUTS AND PICNICS!!!

 

OH STL BBQ SAUCE…TANGY, SWEET, AND OH SO STICKY! ST. LOUIS CONSUMES MORE BARBECUE SAUCE PER CAPITA THAN ANY OTHER CITY IN THE NATION! (MY SOURCE? I GOOGLED IT!) THE LOUIS MAULL COMPANY IS BASED OUT OF THIS FINE CITY! DO YOU REMEMBER “MAULL IT!!” ??? MAYBE THS WILL JOG YOUR MEMORY….

BUT IT’S NOT JUST BBQ SAUCE THAT MAKES ST. LOUIS BBQ AMAZING… OH NO! EVERYBODY KNOWS WHAT ST. LOUIS’ STAPLE BBQ IS… THE PORK STEAK! WE BASICALLY INVENTED IT! YOU CAN EAT THEM MARINATED, RUBBED, SAUCED, OR NAKED!! MY MOUTH IS WATERING!!! AND YOU CAN’T FORGET BRATWURST AND PORK SPARE RIBS!! ANYONE EVER HAVE SNOOTS!? OH YEAH, THEY’RE A STL MUST! YOU HAVEN’T LIVED UNTIL YOU CHEWED ON SOME PIG NOSE!!!

 

AND IF YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE PULLING OUT THE TONGS AND FIRING UP THE GRILL YOURSELF, THERE ARE TONS OF ST. LOUIS BAR-B-QUE RESTAURANTS WAITING TO SERVE YOU UP SOME CLASSIC GRUB! ALL THIS BBQ TALK HAS ACTUALLY MADE ME QUITE HUNGRY!!! I’M GONNA HEAD OVER TO BANDANA’S BAR-B-Q AND GET ME SOME OF THEIR FAMOUS RIBS WITH A SIDE OF CORN AND POTATO SALAD… DON’T FORGET THE GARLIC BREAD AND THE ST. LOUIS SWEET & SMOKY SAUCE!!! I CAN SMELL THAT SMOKE NOW!!!!
