Here is the map and information regarding the 1 mile and 3 mile! You’ll see the WIL vehicles there! Our team will meet at the intersection at Chestnut & 10th outside the ATT Building.
- What time should we arrive?
Walk registration will begin at 8 a.m. The main entrance is at Gate 3 (Eight St., by the Stan Musial statue). Guests requiring assistance may enter through Gate 5 (Clark Ave., by Ford Plaza).
- Where should we park?
Parking will be available in Stadium East and West Garages, as well as neighboring parking lots for a small fee. Busses may park in Ballpark Village for $5. It is recommended to take the Metrolink.
- What should we do with any cash/check donations upon arrival?
All cash and check donations should be submitted in a sealed envelope, and can be turned in the morning of the Walk at the registration booth. Please make sure to include the names and addresses of donors who would like a tax receipt for donations over $25. Also, please include a list of team members and how much money they have raised. This will determine if they qualify to receive a t-shirt or Champion’s Club medal.
- Can participants register/make a donation the day of the Walk?
Yes, participants can register and/or make a donation the day of the Walk. Donations to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be accepted until December 31, 2013.
- Where do I pick up my T-shirt, Champion’s Club medal, or Promise Flower?
T-shirts and Champion’s Club medals can be picked up at the registration booths the morning of the Walk. Staff and volunteers will be directing participants to the Promise Garden to pick up Promise Flowers.
WALK DAY ITINERARY:
Walk registration begins at 8 a.m. Team Captains are encouraged to set up a time and place for their team to meet up. Participants can turn in donations, pick up t-shirts and wristbands, and register if they have not already. Registration will be held at Gates 3 and 5.
- Promise Garden
During registration, all registered participants are given a wristband. Show your wristband to the volunteer at the Promise Garden between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. to receive your free Promise Flower. Promise Flowers represent your reason for walking.Purple Flower: I have lost someone to Alzheimer’s.
Blue Flower: I have Alzheimer’s disease.
Yellow Flower: I am a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s.
Orange: I am a supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
- Opening Ceremony
Opening Ceremony begins promptly at 9 a.m. at the third base seating area (ushers will be available to escort you to the seats). An optional one-mile or three-mile Walk will immediately follow the ceremony.
- Walk Celebration
The Walk will wrap-up with a celebration in Ford Plaza! Enjoy vendor booths, family activities, and complimentary food and beverages! We also encourage all our Walkers to visit our Mission Experience area to learn more about the programs and services the Alzheimer’s Association St. Louis Chapter provides as well as opportunities to become involved in research and advocacy efforts.

Opening Ceremony: 9 a.m.
A one-mile and three-mile Walk will immediately follow the Opening Ceremony, and all participants have the opportunity to finish with a lap around the Warning Track of the field of Busch Stadium.
The party continues after the Walk! Come join us for a Post-Walk celebration in Ford Plaza when you return from the Walk.

- Registration Guidelines
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is open to all ages. Each person attending the Walk is required to register. There is no fundraising minimum or registration fee. Register online at act.alz.org/stlwalk, or submit a paper registration form. Call 800.272.3900 for assistance registering for the walk.
- What if I want to sign-up but can’t attend the Walk?
We encourage everyone to sign up for our Walk even if they cannot attend the event on Saturday, Aug. 31! Sign up to be a Virtual Walker, and support the Walk to End Alzheimer’s through raising awareness and fundraising.
- Can children participate in the Walk?
Yes! Walk to End Alzheimer’s welcomes children and adults of all ages to participate in the Walk!
- Will there be a 5k run?
No, there will not be a 5k run along with the Walk. Please contact us at 800.272.3900 or email@example.com if you would like to host a 5k Run as your team’s fundraiser.
- How long is the Walk?
There will be two Walk route options: a one-mile and a three-mile. Both route options begin and end at Busch Stadium.
- Are strollers permitted at the Walk?
Yes, strollers will be permitted at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
- Are pets permitted at the Walk?
No, unfortunately pets are not permitted at Busch Stadium.
- What if it rains?
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is a rain or shine event. If severe weather is in the forecast, we encourage Walkers to check our website at alz.org/stl or call our Walk hotline at 314.801.0440 the morning of the Walk for any updates or event cancellations.
- Will there be food and drink at the Walk?
Yes, complimentary snacks and beverages will be provided.
- Is the Walk handicap accessible?
Yes, our Walk route is handicap accessible.
- Who gets a T-Shirt, a Promise Flower, and/or a Champion’s Club medal?
T-Shirts: Every registered participant who raises $100 or more is entitled to receive a commemorative 2013 Walk to End Alzheimer’s t-shirt. T-shirts can be picked up the morning of the Walk at the registration booth.Promise Flowers: Every registered participant will receive a wristband. The wristband is the key to picking up a Promise Flower the day of the Walk.Champion’s Club Medal: Participants who individually raise $500 or more are automatically enrolled into the Champion’s Club, and will receive a commemorative Champion’s Club medal. For more information about the Champion’s Club, please visit the alz.org/stl.
WHAT TO EXPECT ON WALK DAY:
- Where is the Walk located?
There will be an optional one-mile and a three-mile Walk route option through downtown St. Louis, finishing with a lap around the warning track of the Busch Stadium field. Please keep in mind that this is not a competitive event, and please be mindful of others along the Walk route. If you are a brisk walker, please move closer to the front of the crowd.
