Hubbard Radio in St. Louis seeks a highly talented sales professional to support its rapidly expanding local sales effort in providing contemporary marketing solutions to advertisers. This sales talent must be able to effectively prospect, present, and close new business utilizing the on-air, digital, social, and mobile platforms available through the Hubbard Media asset lineup.


  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years broadcast sales experience
  • Must demonstrate exceptional selling skills, have firm grasp of the sales cycle and how to effectively conduct a client needs analysis;
  • Initiative to research, prospect, and present products to potential clients;
  • Ability to enthusiastically convey product platforms to potential prospects;
  • Detail orientation with ability to organize, plan, and track prospect leads and action steps;
  • Knowledge of and experience in broadcasting and digital a plus.

  • Professional in work ethic, attitude, and appearance; warm and welcoming personality;
  • Highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Ability to share genuine enthusiasm for station, Hubbard Radio, its platforms, and its team members;
  • Outstanding communication skills with passion for selling;
  • Superior customer service providing oversight of the client experience from prospect to product installation.


  • Outstanding telephone skills, able to communicate effectively through natural presentation style, developing immediate rapport, and building relationships;
  • Computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office;
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in use of the English language both verbally and in writing to ensure correct context, meaning, and spelling.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple assignments, and complete projects as assigned.
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to manipulate computer keys and general office equipment (telephone, copier, calculator, etc.) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to hear and speak clearly and follow both oral and written direction.
