The casting rumors and fan guesswork have finally come to an end. On Tuesday morning, longtime “Dancing With the Stars” host Tom Bergeron and his new co-host, Erin Andrews, announced the star-studded — or close enough — bunch soon to join the ballroom bash.
The 12 stars set to battle for bragging rights and the glistening mirror ball trophy are:
Billy Dee Williams — The “Star Wars” actor will dance with pro Emma Slater.
Drew Carey — The funnyman and “Price is Right” host will dance with pro Cheryl Burke.
Candace Cameron Bure — The “Full House” star will dance with pro Mark Ballas.
Sean Avery — The former hockey player will dance with pro Karina Smirnoff.
Charlie White — The Olympic ice dancer will dance with pro Sharna Burgess.
Meryl Davis — The Olympic ice dancer will dance with returning pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Danica McKellar — The “Wonder Years” star will dance with pro Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
Cody Simpson — The Australian pop star will dance with pro Whitney Carson.
Diana Nyad — The swimmer will dance with pro Henry Byalikov.
NeNe Leakes — The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star will dance with pro Tony Dovolani.
James Maslow — The actor/singer will dance with pro Peta Murgatroyd.
Amy Purdy — The Paralympic snowboarder will dance with pro Derek Hough.
As for the last name on that list, Purdy was the only one who didn’t show up for the live announcement on “Good Morning America.” That’s because she’s currently competing for Team USA at the Paralympics.
“She’s actually a double amputee,” five-time champ Hough explained of his new partner. “She’s all about defying the odds.”
