WIL took the trip again to Vegas for the 49th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand. The night was full of arena-shaking performances and stars dressed to impress. Before the show got underway, we hit the red carpet to chat with the stars on their way inside.
Easton Corbin was sharply dressed once again for the red carpet this year as he spoke to us about how it feels to be the first solo male artist in 17 years to have his first two singles hit #1 on the charts. Check out our interview with Easton to see who he was most looking forward to seeing at the ACMs.
It’s safe to say Dustin Lynch is one of our favorite stars to catch up with, especially after he blew us away with his performance last December at our annual JingleFest. Dustin recently ended his year-long tour with Keith Urban and Little Big Town, which came through St. Louis last August. Watch the video to see what Dustin had to say about performing in St. Louis.
We can tell you Austin Webb is full of personality after catching up with him on the ACM Awards red carpet–Ray Ban sunglasses and all. After showing off his Gucci duds, Webb talked about how much energy is in the room when on tour with fellow artist Jana Kramer.
JT Hodges is one of the industry’s more versatile artists, with his new single coming out in May of this year. While currently working on his sophomore album which will be released this fall, Hodges current track “Lay It Down” can be heard on Sirius/XM. Check out the video to see who he was most excited to see perform at the ACMs.
Fans put a bow on the ceremony by awarding George Straight with his second Entertainer of the Year award. See what the country music legend had to say about taking home the trophy in the video below. Another jam-packed arena, another successful broadcast, another ACM Awards show to remember.
