2/24 5th Annual Stand Up for Kids Comedy Night and Auction

The 5th Annual Stand Up for Kids Comedy Night and Auction will be on February 24,2012 at 6:00 pm at the Royale Orleans Banquet Center at 2801 Telegraph Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125. Doors open at 5:30 pm and the entertainment begins at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $45 per person or $400 per table of ten and include dinner, drinks, and entertainment.

Stand Up for Kids is a non-traditional twist on a traditional non-profit auction. Comedians Dan Chopin (of St. Louis) and Mark Sweeney (of Los Angeles), along with musicians Lucky Dan and Naked Mike, bring humor to the stand through skits, monologues, and musical numbers in efforts to raise funds for Lemay Child and Family Center’s Scholarship Program. Being its 5th year, Stand Up for Kids is poised for growth with a projected attendance of 300 and revenues in excess of $30,000.
 Lemay Child and Family Center has been providing quality early childhood educational services to all children regardless of ability or economic standing since 1975.  Serving predominately low-income students and their families in the south St. Louis County and City area, Lemay Child and Family Center is a nationally accredited early childhood education center that provides over $40,000 in scholarships monthly to families.  Its work allows working families to access child care while also providing a strong learning foundation for its children.
