Learn fishing tips and tricks from one of the country’s top anglers! Midwest native Brent Chapman, the 2012 Elite Series Bassmaster Angler of the Year, will be presenting seminars during this year’s show. Brent will be presenting seminars on Friday and Saturday in the Boating & Outdoor Classroom.

NEW! Meet R.J. and Jay Paul Molinere from the History Channel’s Swamp People


R.J. Molinere, Jr. and his son Jay Paul hunt alligator together as family and best friends, and have done so all of their lives. They are active members of the Houma Nation, a Louisiana state-recognized tribe of approximately 17,000 citizens residing within an area encompassing 4,570 square miles along the southeastern coast of Louisiana. R.J. is also a championship arm wrestler and Jay Paul is a Golden Gloves boxing champion.This father and son duo hunt gator in the bayou and are a formidable team ready to give anyone a run for their money.

Try Scuba—Be a Diver Pool
Try scuba in a heated pool! During the past 7 years tens of thousands of people have been intruduced to scuba diving at a DEMA “Be a Diver Pool”. Now it’s your turn! Anyone age 10 and older can discover the fun and exciting sport of scuba diving in the comfort of a tropically warm pool. Bring your swim suit—we will supply all the scuba gear! It’s a great way to try scuba diving and test some of the latest scuba equipment. You can also have a photo of yourself taken underwater as a keepsake of your “diving adventure.”
DockDogs Competitions
Come see what this exciting performance event for dogs is all about. Watch canine athletes run down a 40-foot dock and jump into a 40-foot long pool of water to compete in Big Air® (long jump), Extreme Vertical® (high jump) and Speed Retrieve® (fastest dog to the end of the pool) competitions. The Paddling Gourmet Cooking Seminars
Why settle for tasteless freeze-dried meals when you’re out camping or canoeing? Discover how to create gourmet meals using readily available ingredients. Marty Koch, a retired park ranger and accomplished outdoor photographer, will share recipes and tips for main dishes and deserts that are simple to prepare, delicious to eat and easy to clean up after. Marty will be presenting “Shelf Stable Food Prep Recipes for the Great Outdoors”, you won’t want to miss these great presentations! Look for booth 3035.

Get a whole new perspective on fishing—from the viewpoint of the fish! This 12-foot tall, 40-foot long mobile glass aquarium is stocked with native fish so you can watch fish react to and even strike different lures during professional casting demonstrations held daily throughout the show! There’s no limit to the fun! Catch-and-release fishing pond is a great way to introduce kids to the sport of fishing. It’s all free and available every day of the show.
