When I saw this contest I got MAJOR butterflies. Let me begin by saying on October 15, 2005 I married a wonderful man. On October 8, 2005 we had a pre-wedding arguement. While driving across the Poplar we got into a silly spat-of which I couldn't even tell you the reason and my Engagement ring ended up in the river. After screeching to a stop on highway 44 and running down the highway in shock and dismay we continued our evening and of course had a beautiful wedding. I was so sad that my engagement ring was gone and to this day still get a pain in my gut when I think about the moment that I lost my single most important personal possesion. Since that day, we obviously learned a few things about communicating, :-) and have been happily married. In 2007 we had our first son, and this past February we had a second son. As happy as we are, the empty space on my left finger still causes me a pain in my spirit. I know material objects are not what makes a life worth living, but I would love to have a special object to pass along-which was something I did not have with my mother. The reason we have not replaced the ring is we just haven't had any extra money. Just like many people, the hurting economy has hurt our income. My husband is a handyman and with the economic struggles, rehabbing has just not been a priority for many people. I would be SO grateful for an opportunity to replace the ring I loved so much, more for what it stood for than what it physically was.rnThank you for taking the time to read this, and I pray I hear from you!
