I love the show, but I have to disagree with the Captain on this. He says the Business owner should decide what is bets for the Client. However, it has been proven that Second Hand Smoke is Dangerous. rnrnThis is really a question about what is more important. The right of the Business owner to make money any way he want, or the health, safety, and welfare of the employees and customers. rnrnSome say that employees do not need to work in a location if they do not like it, and customers have a choice. If you are a 17 year old kid how needs a job, you do not have lots of choices. Also, there are few restaurant choices for non smokers who have medical conditions that prevent them from being around the smoke. They are literally banned from many establishments that allow smoking and prohibited from participating fully in the community. If this ban passes, smokers will still be able to go to every place they could go before, but many of our seniors and young people will also be able to go to these same places they are currently prohibited from going to. rnrnIn the end, you ask what happened to personal freedom. It seems the question is What is more important. A persons freedom to Smoke or the freedom of everyone else in the community to go to establishments public places and enjoy clean air.
