Mommy more scared than the 3-year-old

We have never taken Abby to the City Museum so Saturday we decided it was time. (Our wedding reception was in the second floor Vault Room so it was great to be back!)

Abby loves to climb and crawl - she is a fearless little girl. Mommy apparently - not so fearless!

We had a great time, but the metal tunnel on the outdoor "Monstrocity" was not a good moment. Abby jumped right in with daddy close behind. Mommy had to wait. I couldn't watch her and pay attention to what I was doing. With all the tunnels, bridges and stairs we kept going higher and higher.

Needless to say, I was happier when we were back inside - all of a sudden even the 3 story slide seemed safe for Abby.

I would definitely recommend the City Museum especially for older kids on a nice sunny day. It's an outdoor playground on steriods. And you don't have to go far to check out the aquarium.

It's only a few blocks from our BBQ after the Race for the Cure so we may go back that afternoon. At least I will have tennis shoes on this time.

More on the City Museum.
