In my 36 years in radio I have always made it a point not to talk politics on the air and today is no different.  Today I want to talk about being an American.

The date September 11, 2001 showed the world what Americans are really like.  On that day, there wasn't any talk about what the Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians or Independents were doing.  The news was all about Americans helping Americans.  I don't think any of our Firefighters, Police Officers and Emergency Responders were concerned about what a person's  political affiliation was at that time.  I don't think the passengers of United Airlines Flight 93 heading to crash into the White House were concerned about political affiliation.  Our fighting Men and Women in our Armed Forces could care less how the Soldier next to them voted in the last election.  These are examples of Americans helping Americans.

Our Country today has many problems.  It is time for all of us to stop pointing fingers at one another and come together like all Americans did on 9/11.  Let their example never be forgotten, but be a guiding light in uniting this country once again.

WHAT A COUNTRY AND I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!  AREN'T YOU?
