I stumbled on this video a year ago, and was hesitant to post it. But after having some time to think about it, I think it's important footage to watch.
Many videos posted on the web are tributes to the heroes, the firefighters, the families and our leaders who gave a lot of themselves that day. But this video, instead shows what it was like to be an everyday New Yorker, terrified beyond belief, as they watched helpless from the comforts of their high-rise condo just 500 yards away.
It's about 26 minutes long, but it shows a different side to the AP photos and news footage most of us experienced that day. (Warning, there is some language)
The video begins after AA Flight 11 hit the North Tower. AA Flight 175 impacts the South Tower at the 11:45 point of the video. The North Tower collapse is at 14:10.
