The Cornbread Show Wins the CMA!

It's an award that has long been considered the most prestigious in our industry.  The Country Music Association award.  And just weeks ago, the Cornbread Show was nominated for the CMA Major Market Personalities of the Year.  Tuesday morning, Jamey Johnson called the show to announce that we had won!

NAMED “PERSONALITIES OF THE YEAR”

ST. LOUIS – The 2009 CMA Music Award winners have been notified, and WIL 92.3’s  “The Cornbread Morning Show” has received the “Personality of the Year” in the Major Market category.

Upon receiving the good news, Cornbread expressed his appreciation to the St. Louis listeners. ”Thank you Bread-head nation; without the world’s best listeners this would not have been possible. Our listener family is the difference between our show and all the others.”

The winners will be announced during the national CMA Music Awards telecast, airing on Wednesday evening, November 11, 2009 from 7-10pm locally on KDNL ABC30.
