DIERKS BENTLEY fan Kimberly Munley was the police officer who ended a shooting rampage last week at Fort Hood, Texas. She took down a man who had killed 13 people and wounded 30. Kimberly had met Dierks during a July 4 concert he played near Killeen, Texas. Dierks first heard about his connection to Kimberly, who was seriously injured in the assault, when a photo of the two taken at the concert showed up on TV news shows. That turned into an interview with an ABC network news anchor. Dierks told ABC that he's spoken with Kimberly and wished her a speedy recovery. He says he plans to pay her a visit after she is fully recovered and the media frenzy ends.
