<![CDATA[2009 Lincoln County Fair]]> 12272 Wed, 24 Jun 2009 13:51:26 -0600 For 49 years, the Lincoln County Fair has made an effort to be the "BEST OF MISSOURI" to thousands of visitors to the five-day event. The board of directors and event chairs strive to present an outstanding value with a unique group of attractions and artists for the fun-filled events.

Feel the nervous excitement during the queen coronations but also witness the fun the contestants have as a group. Experience the thrill of the carnival rides. Celebrate with friends the excitement at the truck and tractor pulls as you watch the "Best of Missouri" compete for that full pull. See some of the "Best of Missouri" drivers during the Demolition Derbies, yes, there is more than one. Cheer as your children have fun while participating in the Kid's Events on Saturday. Enjoy the music of Aaron Tippin and Blake Shelton on Saturday with family and friends. There is something that will have you sharing wonderful memories for years to come by being part of the excitement this week.

Come with your family, come to see your friends, but regardless of who you may come with, you will experience the fun that only the "Best of MIssouri" the Lincoln County Fair can bring. Who knows, you may make new friends along the way. Either way, you will be glad you attended the Lincoln County Fair, July 14-18. [morelink]

<![CDATA[2009 Washington Town & Country Fair]]> 11771 Wed, 17 Jun 2009 13:45:34 -0600 To kick off on Wednesday night, August 5th we'll welcome the Sheltered Reality drumline to the Pepsi Main Stage at 6:30 PM. Come see the uniquely choreographed percussion routines performed by a wide range of ages, and then stay for the opening ceremony at 8:00 PM.

As usual, we'll continue on Wednesday night with the Annual Queen Contest at 8:30 PM. These ladies have worked hard all year and the Queen will be crowned at the conclusion of the ceremony. Be there to cheer on your favorite lady in the competition.

On Thursday we're putting the country in the Washington Town & Country Fair as we kick off big with Grammy award winning, multi-platinum recording artist Jo Dee Messina at 9:00 PM. Jo Dee has racked up nine number one singles from her studio albums and has the distinction of being the first female country artist to score three multiple week number one songs from the same album. With hits like It's Too Late To Worry, I'm Alright, Bye Bye, and Biker Chick - Jo Dee is sure to start the artist lineup on Main Stage with a bang. [morelink]

Friday's artist is known for his smooth blending of 50's rock and roll with pop and traditional country. The fair is pleased to welcome Steve Holy. Steve's single Good Morning Beautiful spent five straight weeks at number one. His second CD produced such hits as Come On Rain, Men Buy Drinks, and the number one dance song for 2006 - Brand New Girlfriend . Steve will bring his unique talent and lineup of hits to Main Stage on Friday, August 7th at 9:00 PM.

Saturday is always a big night at the Main Stage, and 2009 will be no different. With hits like The Joker, Rock N Me, Take The Money and Run, and Jungle Love, their name is synonymous with classic rock. That's right, it's the Steve Miller Band at 9:00 PM. Make sure you get your seat early on Saturday, August 8th as the Steve Miller Band brings their hits to Main Stage in Washington, Missouri!!!

On Sunday night, be sure to join us in a salute to our veterans on the Main Stage at 6:30 PM. This event will honor our military men and women, with a special salute to our Korean and Vietnam Veterans.

Main Stage wraps up in style Sunday night with a powerhouse beauty from right here in Missouri. Sara Evans has won multiple female vocalist of the year awards, producing numerous hits like Born to Fly, I Could Not Ask For More, and Missing Missouri . Don't miss Sara as she brings her charm and recent greatest hits album to Main Stage on Sunday August 9th at 8:00 PM!

Don’t forget after Sara Evans wraps up on the Main Stage Sunday to enjoy the American Electric and Data fireworks display upon the conclusion of the fair.
