Randy, check this out: Yan Stastny led the Peoria Rivermen to a 5-2 win over the Houston Aeros in front of almost 4,000 fans at Carver Arena Saturday night. Manny Legace got the win, his 10th in 19 games with 26 saves. Legace has a 2.24 goals ag. average and a .927 save percentage.
The Aeros had a 2-0 lead until Steve Regier scored his 20th goal of the season, followed by two by our guy Yan, his 7th and 8th in 24 games. Julian Talbot then added his 19th and Chris Porter his 7th into an empty net to clinch the win.
Regier and Trent Whitfield ( who had two assists ) share the goal-scoring lead for Peoria with 20 each.
Peoria is now tied with Houston with 82 points, trailing the Milwaukee Admirals by 15 points. (Compliments of Blues Board on STL Today.)
