Meriah (13 years old) shot her first buck on opening weekend. They were sitting in a ground blind and she was sound asleep. Here come a Buck. Her Dad quickly woke her up and they counted the points. There were four on one side and 3 on the other. Before he could even finish telling her to take the shot if she wanted it, he heard the safety click off and she fired. She made a great shot. They got excited and were giving high five's , hugging, and jumping up in down in the ground blind. They got so wrapped up in the moment that they didn't even watch which way the deer went. They were able to locate the deer a few feet from were she made the shot laying in the brush. It was a great deer for her first. It was a very proud moment for Dad and daughter. She is going to mount it and hang it in her purple bedroom.
